Hafiz Ubaid Iqbal, who holds a Bachelor’s degree in Islamic Sciences and Arabic Literature, is our regular Friday Imam from Aylesbury and serves as our dedicated Ramadan Taraweeh Hafiz. He has been leading Taraweeh prayers for many years with a beautiful, melodious recitation that uplifts the hearts of worshippers and creates a spiritually rich atmosphere in the masjid.
Despite travelling from a long distance to be with us, he consistently makes time to support our congregation, reflecting his deep sincerity and commitment to the path of sacred knowledge and service. His presence during Jumu’ah and throughout Ramadan has become a source of comfort and motivation for many families and young people in our community.
He is especially known for his humble character, gentle nature, and dedication to preserving and teaching the Qur’an. Over the years, he has built a strong bond with the Bicester community, regularly returning to lead Taraweeh and to help strengthen our connection with the Book of Allah through his inspiring recitation and heartfelt duas.
