About BICS

The purpose of BICS is to bring about the collective potential of the whole community for the good of mankind, with due respect and regard for all forms of life and nature. Our vision is to nurture a harmonious environment in which everyone—regardless of background—has the opportunity to contribute positively, guided by the principles of compassion, respect, and social responsibility.

• BICS is committed to serving the cause of Islam in a true and practical manner. We strive to create and maintain facilities that enable the observance of Islamic principles, allowing our members to practice their faith with dignity and ease. An essential aspect of this commitment is to take all legitimate and honorable steps, consistent with Islamic values, to raise the necessary funds for building a Mosque in Bicester. Our goal is to establish a place of worship that also serves as a hub for spiritual, educational, and social growth within the community.
• A dedicated endowment will be created to support the ongoing maintenance and upkeep of the Mosque, ensuring its continued service for generations to come and reinforcing its status as a cherished property of the Society.
• Education forms a core pillar of BICS objectives. We aim to organize Islamic educational courses for adults and youth, encompassing the study of the Holy Qur’an, the Hadith, and other essential teachings that enrich the understanding of our faith and values. In addition, we endeavor to develop and maintain a comprehensive library of journals and books on a wide range of subjects relevant to Islamic thought, interest, and culture.
• Members of BICS are encouraged to follow all tenets of Islam in their daily lives, striving to embody the principles of unity, amity, and brotherhood that lie at the heart of the faith. Through this shared commitment, we hope to foster a supportive and united community, reflecting the inclusive ideals of Islam.
• We also aim to promote lasting bonds between Muslims of different countries and backgrounds, strengthening the sense of global fraternity. Furthermore, BICS is dedicated to encouraging dialogue, coherence, and mutual understanding with non-Muslim and other local communities, creating an environment of respect and cooperation for all.
