Shams-uddin has been an integral part of the Bicester Islamic Cultural Society for several years, serving in key leadership roles including as Chair and Secretary. He has been deeply involved in organizing important community events, such as the annual Eid celebrations, which foster unity and togetherness among the community members. Together with his wife, Shams-uddin runs a Quran Academy in Bicester that educates over 70 children, supported by other volunteers from the community. This academy provides valuable Islamic education, helping children to deepen their knowledge and connection to their faith.
Beyond his educational and event-management contributions, Shams-uddin also serves as a trustee of the Society, playing a critical role in its governance and strategic direction.
